Steering Committee for the Nine Mile Run Watershed Association Urban Forestry Master Plan

Do you love the trees in Edgewood? Edgewood Borough Council is soliciting letters of interest from residents who wish to serve on the steering committee for the Nine Mile Run Watershed Association Urban Forestry Master Plan. With the guidance of Tree Pittsburgh, NMRWA will work with watershed communities and stakeholders to develop a master plan for the watershed’s forest. Utilizing community and stakeholder input, tree data, and professional expertise, this plan will be the guiding document for NMRWA’s Urban Forestry program, and will serve as a resource to watershed communities.

If you have a special interest, expertise, or knowledge of trees and urban tree planting, or if you simply are a person who values and enjoys the Borough’s urban forest, please consider serving in this valuable role! Letters of interest can be sent to Julie Bastianini, Borough Manager, at manager@edgewoodboro.com, or dropped off or mailed to the Borough Building, 2 Race Street Edgewood PA 15218 by November 11, 2016.

The Edgewood Volunteer Fire Department is accepting applications for membership. Applications can be obtained at the Edgewood Borough Building 2 Race St. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. For additional information contact Steven Halle, Fire Chief @ 412-242-9994.

The Borough of Edgewood is seeking applicants to serve on the Planning Commission.
The Commission makes recommendations to the Borough Council on matters of planning, zoning and land use matters. This is an excellent opportunity for community involvement and to have a hand in shaping decisions in your community.

If interested please contact Julie Bastianini at (412) 242-4824, or send a letter of interest, along with any relevant experience to: manager@edgewoodboro.com
