Edgewood Borough’s Recreation Department boasts a year round sports program for adults and children, including public basketball courts, baseball and adult softball programs, soccer games, a running track, and modern playgrounds for family fun.

Additional programs include Edgewood’s annual
Community Days in August, a Haunted House in October, and a yearly golf outing which raises funds for Edgewood’s youth programs.

Our programs really focus on teamwork, leadership, and understanding what it means to be part of a team. We enjoy the fun of competition, but life lessons come first.

Mission Statement:

Youth
To provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all children to participate and grow at an appropriate athletic level. Primary goals include player development, teamwork, sportsmanship and knowledge of the sport. Coaches and parents must be exemplary role models for the continuous success of the Association to meet the needs of the community.

Adult
The Borough of Edgewood’s Recreation Department exists to care for public lands and to provide opportunities for personal growth. Through active and passive pursuits, we work with the citizens of Edgewood to provide opportunities to renew, restore, refresh and re-create in order to balance stressful lifestyles.

It is our overall intent to encourage the participation of individuals and families to develop the highest possible level of physical and mental well-being. It is our belief that well-balanced, healthy people contribute to a productive and healthy community.
